Introducing Our State Of The Art Data Centre

The Wired Workplace opened its new data centre in Sheffield in the summer of 2007. The state-of-the-art facility is the largest external data centre in the region and has the capacity to support up to 100 businesses with data hosting and storage plus voice and data connectivity.

The Wired Workplace has invested £120,000 in converting premises at the Workstation in Sheffield to provide facilities and service levels usually only available from large data centres in London or Manchester. The centre has upgraded electrical supplies, sophisticated power management and robust air conditioning, plus two separate connections to the Internet. At full capacity, it will be able to house up to 600 servers with the ability to store 300 terabytes of data.
